Day 1 Architecture Study Tour

Check in to hotel in Tezpur and rest.

Early evening visit Agnigarh
Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 Architecture Study Tour

Post early breakfast checkout from hotel and proceed to Bomdila.
Reach Bomdila and check-in to the hotel.

Later visit Bomdila Monastery- established in the year 1965 and it represents the spiritual essence of Buddhism. The monastery resembles Tsona Gontse Monastery of South Tibet.
Upper Gompa- It is a symbol of the traditions associated with Buddhism. A school to educate monk kids is in Upper Gompa. A temple of Buddha and a prayer hall are seen here. The wall hangings in the prayer hall are a reflection of the culture.
Lower Gompa- The influence of Tibetan architecture is prominent in Lower Gompa. Lower Gompa has a huge sized prayer hall. Followers of Buddhist philosophy do not miss visiting the place as they consider it sacred.

Day 3 Architecture Study Tour

Post early breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Tawang.
Enroute lies the World’s 2nd highest pass, The Sela Pass at an altitude of 13703 ft.
Spend some time at beautiful Sela Lake having crystal blue water and proceed to Tawang.

Reach Tawang and check-in to the hotel.
Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 Architecture Study Tour

Post breakfast full day to explore Tawang.
Visit Tawang Monastery – The largest Monastery in India and the 2nd Largest in the World, built like a large mansion, is triple storied with a large assembly hall, ten other functional structures and with 65 residential quarters for students, Lamas and monks. The monastery has a school and its own water supply facility, and a center for Buddhist cultural studies.
Tawang War Memorial – A 40 ft. high multi-hued memorial, Tawang War Memorial is dedicated to the war heroes (soldiers of the Indian Army) of Sino-India war that took place in the year 1962. Also known as Namgyal Chorten, the structure is similar to the design of a huge stupa.
Free time for shopping in Tibetan Settlement Market.

Day 5 Architecture Study Tour

Post early breakfast, proceed to Bomdila.
Enroute visit Dirang Dzong or locally known as the Dirang basis, which is just a normal rustic residential colony. But, the special thing about this tribal colony is its architecture.
This colony consists of unique stone and wooden build houses, where they use the stone for foundation and the wooden structure for the roof and walls. Apparently, this method of building is quite efficient in handling the bitterly cold weather of the Himalayas.
Reach Bomdila and visit Craft Centre and Ethnographic Museum which is a center that produces fine carpets of colorful designs and masks.

Day 6 Architecture Study Tour

Post breakfast checkout from hotel and visit Apple Orchards having huge trees with red apple fruit blooming, which ultimately makes it look like natures most beautiful gardens.
Post lunch proceeds to Tezpur.
Check in to a hotel in the evening and rest.

Post early breakfast proceed to Kaziranga National Park – One of the many UNESCO World Heritage site in India, which is home to 75% of the global population of Indian one horned Rhinoceros for an afternoon jeep safari.
After jeep safari returns back to our hotel.

Post breakfast checkout from hotel and proceed to Shillong.
Have lunch en-route and visits Umiam Lake on the way (If time permits)

Day 9 Architecture Study Tour

Post breakfast visit Nel Sodone designed by Earth Studio amidst the forest of Upper Shillong, having unique, modern and environmentally considerate architecture.
Environmental sustainability was an important facet of this project and efforts were made to apply ecological design principles conducive to the project.
Later visit The Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians, which is one of the most beautiful churches in Shillong. It has high arches and stained glass windows which add to its grandeur.
Also visit Architecturally robust, pleasant to climb up, and displaying an excellent use of space as in a honeycomb; hexagonal everywhere and allowing natural light and easy fresh air circulation -Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures also known as Don Bosco Museum designed by Ar. Vivek Varma.
Also, study some Traditional Khasi Houses which are designed in a way to resist the earthquakes.

Day 10 Architecture Study Tour

Post early breakfast excursion to Cherrapunjee.
Explore the Seven sister waterfalls, Mawsmai Cave and Double-decker root bridge.
Return back to our hotel in Shillong.
