Day 1 of Architecture Study Tour to Italy!

Arrive at Rome International Airport at 09:55.
Upon arrival board coach and check in to hotel.
Freshen up and head towards Colosseum- the largest built amphitheater in the world. Built in AD 80 is located just east of Roman Forum.
Later visit Roman Forum an integral part of Roman history which had a day to day events celebrated.
Dinner and Overnight.

Day 2 of Architecture Study Tour to Italy!

Post early B/F head towards Vatican Museum displaying works from the immense collection amassed by Popes throughout the centuries including some of the most renowned classical sculptures and most important masterpieces of Renaissance art in the world.
Next head towards Sistine Chapel the official residence of The Pope where the world’s most famous painting of The Last Judgement is painted by Michelangelo!
Later visit St. Peter’s Basilica the most renowned work of Renaissance architecture and the largest church in the world.
Next, proceed towards Trevi Fountain designed by Italian architect Nicola Salvi and completed by Giuseppe Pannini is the largest Baroque fountain in the city and one of the most famous fountains in the world!
Then we proceed towards Spanish Steps a picturesque and a monumental 135 steps site!

Day 3 of Architecture Study Tour to Italy!

Post early B/F check out and head towards Roma Termini to board train towards Pisa!
Upon arrival in Pisa check in to hotel and freshen up.
Then head straight towards The Leaning Tower of Pisa obviously known for its tilt!
Also visit Pisa Baptistery the largest baptistery in Italy built in Romanesque and Gothic style of Italian Architecture along with Pisa Cathedral dedicated to Assumption of the Virgin Mary!
Evening free to explore the streets of Pisa!
Dinner and Overnight.

Day 4 of Architecture Study Tour to Italy!

Post early B/F check out and proceed towards Pisa Centrale to board train towards Florence!
Once arrived in Florence check in to hotel and quickly freshen up.
Visit Piazza del Duomo literally meaning Cathedral Square situated in the heart of the city.
Then head towards Palazzo Pitti built in 1488 which was the chief residence of the ruling families of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany.
Next we visit Ponte Vecchio the famous medieval stone closed-spandrel segmental arch bridge over the Arno River.
Apart from sketching it down this place is the best for shopping antique art, jewelry and souvenirs!
Dinner and Overnight.

Day 5 of Architecture Study Tour to Italy!

Post early B/F check out and proceed towards Florence station to board train towards Bologna!
Take a detour and visit Italy’s famous car makers museum- The Ferrari! Have a look at the past and future of the Ferrari as a brand evolving as a racing machine!
By noon head back to Bologna station to board the train and proceed towards Venice!
Check in to the hotel in Venice by late noon and relax!
Sink in the feeling of this beautiful lagoon city and spend time at leisure.
Dinner and overnight!

Day 6 of Architecture Study Tour to Italy!

Post B/F we head towards a day’s excursion to Murano Island- famous for its Glass Making!
We visit Museo del Vetro- to see how the glass making island evolved and also see the beautiful ancient glass work! The structure of this building is made-like all other buildings- in Gothic Style.
Next visit Santa Maria e San Donato one of the oldest church in the Venetian Lagoon built in the 7th Century. Behind the altar there are four rib bones, hanging from wires. The bones are more than 1 metre long.
According to legend, these are bones of the dragon slain by St. Donatus in Greece.
Dinner and overnight.

Day 7 of Architecture Study Tour to Italy!

Post B/F visit Doge’s Palace a palace built in Venetian Gothic Style and one of the main landmarks of the city!
Later visit Piazza San Marco an architecturally marvelous square built in the city center used for social, religious and political purpose.
Then up is St. Mark’s Basilica the best example of Italo-Byzantine architecture! It lies at the eastern end of the Piazza San Marco, adjacent and connected to the Doge’s Palace.
Late afternoon visit Rialto Bridge the oldest of the four bridges spanning the Grand Canal of the Venice!
Evening at leisure.
Dinner and overnight.

Early morning check out and proceed to Venice International Airport to board back to hometown
