Day 1 of Architecture Study Tour

Upon arrival board coach and transfer to Tomb of Mohammed Ghaus the Muslim saint who assisted Babur in conquering Gwalior in 1526. The building is constructed with a mix of Mughal and Hindu architecture.

Adjacent to this tomb is the tomb of the famous singer- Tansen, considered as one of the 9 gems of Akbar’s court.

Post lunch check in to the hotel.

Later visit, Maharaj Bada one of the most significant places of Gwalior. This center place is surrounded by many architecturally important buildings which housed former opera house, banks, and rural houses. Definitely, the place to understand and learn about rural architecture.

Evening at leisure visiting the local market.

Day 2 of Architecture Study Tour

Post B/F visit the Jai Vilas Mahal constructed in 1874. This unique building is constructed with a combination of architectural styles as follows; first floor is Tuscan, second floor is Italian-Doric and the third floor is Corinthian.
Post lunch visits the Gwalior Fort.
Upon arrival at Gwalior fort visit, Teli Ka Mandir- built in the integration of Nagara Style and Dravidian Style of architecture. The temple is based on Pratihara-Gopagiri style North Indian architecture.

Next visit Sasbahu Temple. According to James Harle, the construction of the building suggests that it had a North Indian Bhumija Style of architecture.

Evening witness a grand light and sound show narrating the history and glory of the Gwalior Fort.
Dinner and overnight.

Day 3 of Architecture Study Tour

Post B/F visit the Gwalior fort again to see the Man Mandir Palace, Karna Mahal & Vikram Mahal.

Post lunch visits Amma Maharaj ki Chattri to study the intricately constructed building in the memory of the rulers of Gwalior.

Evening at leisure.
Dinner and overnight.

Day 4 of Architecture Study Tour

Post B/F check out and head towards Orchha!
Upon arrival visit the Royal Chattris of Orchha- the final resting place of many local kings.

Post lunch visits Orchha Fort Complex which houses a large number of fort, palaces, and temple.

Later visit Ram Raja Temple in the evening.
Dinner and overnight

Day 5 of Architecture Study Tour

Post B/F check out and visit Laxmi Narayan Mandir- a unique temple constructed on the hilltop overseeing the town of Orchha having interesting architecture and wall paintings.
Evening at leisure.
After lunch transfer to Khajuraho.
Upon arrival check in to hotel and rest.
Dinner and Overnight Stay.

Day 6 of Architecture Study Tour

Post early B/F, proceed towards Khandariya Mahadev Temple the largest and the most ornate temple of all the temples in Khajuraho.
Later visit the Western group of Temples a complex full of temples which includes Devi Jagadambi Temple, Matangeshvara Temple & Varaha Temple to name a few.
Dinner and overnight.

Arrive in Bhopal.
Post B/F check in to the hotel.
Later visit Bharat Bhavan.
Post lunch visit proceeds to Manav Sangrahalaya.
