The 12-day Summer Program offers students an immersive educational and cultural experience across the United States of America.

The journey begins in Detroit, with university visits to Alma College, Northwood University and Kettering University, featuring sessions on psychology, business and STEM. A special highlight includes simulator training at the University of Michigan Medical School.

In Orlando, students explore the Embry-Riddle University, building drones, and participating in NASA’s Mars Base 1 Program at Kennedy Space Center. The tour wraps up with a visit to Universal Studios or Disneyland and shopping getaway at The Mall at Millenia.

This program blends academics, industry exposure and adventure, offering students a global learning experience.

Itinerary

1

Day 1:

Assemble at the airport to board a flight for Detroit.

Day 2:

Upon arrival in Detroit board coach & transfer to Alma College.

Known for strong liberal arts programs, community engagement, and diverse extracurricular activities. Post lunch, attend an orientation session and get on a campus tour.
Evening attend a session on Model UN, where students can explore real-world international relations topics in a structured and educational setting.

Dinner and overnight stay at Alma College.

Day 3:

Post breakfast in the campus attend a full day session on Experimental & Neurological psychology.

Later attend a Power Lunch session with a professional psychologist.
In the evening campus activities include interaction with current students of Indian origin.

Day 4:

Post early breakfast, transfer to Northwood University.

Attend a lecture on Philosophy of American business.
In the evening campus activities include interaction with current students of Indian origin.

Dinner & overnight stay at Northwood University

Day 5:

Post early breakfast attend a lecture on Entrepreneurship and Mobility.
After a quick lunch visit the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation.

Business Dinner and an interactive session with Ashok Seetharam and Ilya Preston – founders of PAXAFE, which protects the shipment of insured parcels via IoT-enabled packaging solutions providing cheaper, data-driven shipping insurance.

Stay at Northwood University.

Day 6:

Post early breakfast transfer to Kettering University

  • Admissions Presentation: Learn about Kettering and your future opportunities.
  • Student Panel: Get your questions answered by current Kettering students.
  • Campus Tour: Discover the campus through an interactive tour.
  • Hands-on Activities: Participate in four engaging STEM activities with Kettering faculty.
  • Battenberg Café: Enjoy delicious meals for lunch and dinner.
  • Alumni Speaker: Be inspired by a successful Kettering alumna.

Stay at Kettering University. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7:

Post early breakfast visit University Of Michigan Medical School

Attend a high fidelity simulator training session on;

  • A SimMom in the Labor and Delivery room, which has a similar view as a real mom giving birth at the nearby C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.
  • Other simulators / spaces including SimBaby in the Peds / delivery room, an ICU / ER room, hospital room / hallways.

Business Dinner with an Indian doctor on ‘Opportunity and challenges of learning and practising medicine in USA for Indian students’. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8:

Post early breakfast, proceed to the airport to board a flight to Orlando.

Post lunch transfer to Embry Riddle University to attend an orientation session & campus tour in the evening.

Dinner & overnight stay at the University.

Day 9:

Post breakfast, attend an interactive & hands-on session on how to build drones. 

Workshop Agenda

Duration: Half-Day (4–5 hours)

  • Introduction to Drones (30 mins)
    • Overview of drones: Types, uses, and components.
    • Applications in industries: Agriculture, delivery, filming, and rescue missions.
  • Understanding Drone Parts (1 hour)
    • Frame, motors, propellers, ESC (Electronic Speed Controllers).
    • Battery systems, flight controllers, GPS, and camera setups.
  • Building a Drone (2 hours)
    • Step-by-step assembly of a basic drone.
    • Attaching the frame.
    • Connecting motors and propellers.
    • Installing flight controllers and sensors.
    • Configuring the transmitter and receiver.
    • Safety and testing procedures.
  • Programming & Flying Basics (1 hour)
    • Introduction to drone software (e.g., Arduino, Python for drones).
    • Setting up the drone for its first flight.
    • Tips for safe operation and legal guidelines in the USA.
    • Students may get a chance to fly their assembled drones in a controlled environment.
    • Conclude the workshop by learning, piloting and troubleshooting.

Dinner at overnight stay at the University.

Day 10:

Post early breakfast, visit Kennedy Space Center & participate in Mars Base 1 program where students travel to the Red Planet for a day to live and work on Mars Base 1 as a part of the Astronaut Training Experience® Center – Exploring with Lockheed Martin. Set in a landscape of the future, Rookie Astronaut teams have the unique opportunity to travel to Mars through the Mars Transporter Vehicle. Once there, work through the challenges of living on the Martian surface: manage the Base Operations Center on Mars, grow and harvest plants in the Botany Lab, and collect and analyze data that will be sent to real NASA scientists. Rookie Astronauts will also need to optimize energy intake for the Base by programming robots to clear debris from solar panels.
Your students will leave Mars with a better understanding of how to adapt to life away from Earth. It is an experience unlike any other on the planet!

Day 11:

Post breakfast, proceed to Universal Studios Orlando or Disneyland Orlando – Live the movies at the many exclusive attractions found only at the region’s first Hollywood movie theme park & the Happiest Place On Earth to relive your dreams and be the prince and princes of your imagination.

Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 12:

Post breakfast, checkout & transfer to shopping The Mall at Millenia.

Free time for shopping and leisure.

Evening board flight back to Hometown.
